THE COURSE CURRICULUM

The courses we provide, which are held in England and America, are highly practical and interactive, expecting the delegates to be fully involved at every stage. Each week delegates will be assigned projects and assignments to complete either individually or as part of a team.

Field trips are included which take students to visit places where they can gain valuable knowledge and contacts to use in their future careers.

Fine china specialists, wine merchants, great country houses, exclusive tailors, antique dealers, luxury hotels and specialist shops of every description. Throughout the course there will be guest lectures from: wine specialists, toastmasters and chefs together with lectures on social etiquette and manners. Butlers from various areas of the profession will be dinner guests and will give valuable insights into life as a butler as well as help and advice to the students.

At the Butler Training Academy there are both practical and written tests to review the weekly programme and activities.

The programme is suitable for individuals who have some previous experience in hotels or similar environment or who are already working in a household position but wish to enhance their skills at the Guilds Training Academy.

The Investment of time and money to train as a professional butler is a small one when considering the high salaries available to men and women entering this fascinating profession. The rewards may for many outway this initial expenditure.
